At approximately 2:50 PM CST G-mail’s e-mail system went down.

The Google dashboard currently shows that G-mail is functioning and that earlier today there were problems with Google Calendar.

At this point we’ve not seen any official notifications from Google regarding this outage or an ETA on the repair.   We do find it interesting that within hours of Facebook’s new e-mail/messaging plans G-mail took a hard crash.
